Frequently asked questions and answers about wheels
What is your wheelset for?
Your wheels come in a kit with a booklet showing you how to assemble them. There are also plenty of videos online to help you, contact us if you want a link.
The set contains:
Frame, wheels x 2, front waist belt, leg straps, fasteners and lap belt.
What accessories should I buy for my wheels?
many people buy onestomach support, which will provide more stomach support for your dog and make the wheels more comfortable. It also distributes the weight of the wheels more evenly. The set comes with a belly belt, but it is thin and not suitable for large dogs.
When is your dog ready for a wheelchair?
It is important that your dog has two strong front legs. For the back legs, you can use clips to position their legs up or down. You can do this very easily. Now your dog has wheels and can get the exercise he needs to live a happy, healthy and active life. We found the dog easily adapted to the wheelchair and were exploring in no time.
How do I measure my dog's wheels?
First find your dog's weight. Then measure the length of their hind legs. For mini and small wheelchairs, you must also measure the ATR. We will send you the measurements via e-mail once you have placed your order.
How do I know which wheels to choose?
For medium and large wheelchairs, you can choose between foam or air-filled tires. For larger, heavier dogs, pneumatic tires are best as they keep the wheelchair stable around corners and over rougher terrain.
Can my dog lie on his wheel?
These wheels are for exercise and mobility and do not make lying down easy.
Can my dog potty on wheels?
For dogs that are not paralyzed, we recommend that you take your dog to the toilet before using its wheel. Over time, your dog will learn to stand up naturally. The most important thing is to reassure them that it's okay the first time, so it's a positive experience for them. If your dog is paralyzed, your dog will go to the toilet on wheels.
My dog's leg was amputated. Are they wheelchair accessible?
Yes, we recommend that you use a four-wheel wheelchair if your dog has had its front legs amputated. If their rear leg was amputated, you can start with a normal rear wheel.
What's the delivery time?
2 – 3 days in the UK. We can ship internationally (anywhere).
If my dog procrastinates, does he need boots?
In the set you get stirrups and if you want to protect their paws or feet you can use clips to keep their feet off the ground. If you want your dog to get around on its hind legs, we recommend giving it boots. we are sellingWalker sneakersThis is a good choice.
How is my dog's health?
In the first few days, take good care of your dog. This might be the most exercise they've played in a while! When you see them getting tired, relax and take them off the wheel for a break. Overall, you will find that your dog gets more exercise and will perform better than the one below.
Can I drive the wheel all day?
Yes, you can keep the wheels spinning all day. Most people find that their dog really enjoys running. Be sure to keep an eye on them the first week, it's probably the most they've trained in a while! Your dog can wear the wheels inside, outside and all day.
Can I return the wheels if they don't fit my dog or if I don't like them?
Yes, we have a 14-day right of return. We also have a wheelchair specialist who inspects every order before shipping to ensure your dog has the perfect wheel size for him.
